"Green" house with modern design in Montreal, Canada

Ecоlogia Mоntréal is a mansion that was designed by the architect Gеrvais Fоrtin and became the first private house in Montreal, which pretends to be a platinum level certification LЕED. The main wish of the owner — reduced impact on the environment and the use of natural materials of local origin. The architect was able to combine "green" technology with contemporary design, presenting a beautiful and comfortable home.

A distinctive feature of Ecоlogia Mоntréal is a courtyard designed for relaxing outdoors in complete privacy, and even green roof. The mansion was built from recycled insulating concrete, the exterior is made of stone, local rock, and inside is dominated by wood.

Walls — a mix of lime and hemp with a nice rough effect without using paint. A huge window covered with a reflecting film, which leads to minimum heat loss. Furniture for the project made locally from sustainable materials and it is well suited for daily use.
