Ingredients of cosmetics, deteriorating health and appearance

An azo dye (the extract from coal tar or crude oil). Used as dye. In contact with skin causes hives, asthma, hay fever, allergic reactions. Absorbed through the skin. Used in a cream-paint for hair dye.
Acetaldehyde (ethanal). Often irritate the mucous membrane, impairs the activities of liver, kidney respiratory system, inhibits the activity of the nervous system. Used in the production of fragrances for cosmetics and perfumes.



Lead acetate has a toxic effect on the liver, kidneys and nervous system. Used in hair dyes.
Acetone contributes to the development of brittleness of the nails, exfoliation and cleavage, irritation of lungs, eyes, has a toxic effect on the cardiovascular system and liver. Used in nail polishes and removers varnish.



The benzaldehyde may cause irritation to eyes and skin, affects the Central nervous system. Has a toxic effect on the liver, kidneys, respiratory system. Used in cosmetic creams, lotions, perfumes.
Have betanaphthol (prepared from naphthalene, made from coal tar). Affects the kidneys, promotes the development of contact dermatitis, and disrupts the eye. Used for hair strengthening and hair dyes.
Boric acid has a toxic effect on the gastrointestinal tract, liver, kidneys, reproductive organs. Used in baby powders, liquids for rinsing the mouth, washing the drugs.
Butylhydroxyanisole – can cause hives, drowsiness, headache, asthma. Affects the kidneys, liver, thyroid, stomach. Used as a preservative in various cosmetics.
Hexachlorophene – contributes to the development of multiple sclerosis, contact dermatitis; toxic effects on the gastrointestinal tract, the liver, can cause yellow spots on the face. Used in anti-perspiration, deodorants, shampoos, toothpastes, cosmetic creams, baby powders.
