Accelerometers are at the biceps, forearm and back of the hand. Practice as much as you want, and at the end of training you will know (on the screen of a laptop or phone) that you do not so: the device has the model of the ideal movement of the hand.
If You want to get a clue here and now, then you need to disable silent operation mode, and the device will try to hint you with light and sound, as in reality you need to throw the ball into the ring.
Embedded software calculates also the flight of the ball left the hand. This is quite useful, as previous experiments have shown that for each item the player has a perfect angle of the shot. For example, if you perform free throws (with fixed distance which is equal to approximately 4.5 m), the chances of success increase with the maximum arc of the throw in the area of 52°.
