90% of the work of underwater archaeologists studying the archives. It was there from time to time they receive information about ship movements and determine the place where sank the ship. After that, the archaeologists scanning the seabed with sonar to find the object. Often they do not find anything or collide with another ship.
After the ship was found, the fun begins. A team of divers dives and tries to learn the ship. It is hard to do, especially in salt water where many of the worm-burrowing. In this case the ship was identified almost immediately – sailing-screw frigate “Oleg”, which sank in 1859. So easy to determine what kind of ship – a great success.
