Pharrell Williams came to the defense of the oceans

The musician is not the first time collaborating with fashion brands. He even has one of the founders of the company BionicYarn, which makes the textile fibres based on recycled plastic. This time Williams drew paid attention to the other side of the fashion industry. He began a collaboration with Dutch brand producing denim clothes G-Star.





The musician announced his idea for the fashion Week in new York. Joint company called Raw for the Ocean ("Raw for the ocean") and it must first attract attention to the problem of plastic waste in the ocean. Company Farrell BionicYarn along with G-Star will make the collection of jeans from plastic that was collected in the waters of the World ocean.

The collection will be available on sale in the middle of summer. Materials from BionicYarn will also be used in other products from G-Star. The company work with an organization Parley for the Oceans, which brings together a variety of players.
