Australian scientists have discovered a new species of spiders





Jelly the Goblin spider was discovered by biologists from the Queensland Museum in Australia. The leader of the research group Dr. Barbara Baer said that their finding is a sweet little creature, closer to a jelly-like candy, than a big hairy spider. He was given the official name "jelly" because of the tiny round formation near the mouth of males.
A small spider with a total length of 1 millimeter. It has a hard shell body acting as armor. This protective layer protects the insect from dehydration, because the spider is very sensitive to humidity.
