Nissan and Ecotricity opened strong electrospray in Europe



Free charging of electric cars in Europe is available not only to customers of Tesla Motors. For example, Nissan and Ecotricity for the fourth year to develop a network of stations which connect major cities and even entire countries. This week, the partners set 1000-th station for Europe and 195-u for UK.





New electrospray standard CHAdeMO (quick charge) installed in Surrey (England). It is able to fill 80% of battery capacity in 30 minutes. The service is free for owners of any electric vehicles, unless of course there is compatibility with the station. No problem to charge the Nissan LEAF, Nissan e-NV200 (new), Mitsubishi i-MiEV, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, Peugeot iON and Citroen C-Zero.

The pace of construction of infrastructure for the ETS in Europe is increasing every year. In 2010, when mass sales of electric cars began, it was installed 16 EV charging stations, in 2011 their number increased 10 times, and a year later throughout Europe was built 540 stations. In 2014 in the UK should receive another 150 new CHAdeMO stations.
