Energy independent villa in Italy

Architectural company De Carlo Gualla has built a country house in a mountainous area in northwestern Italy. The developers paid special attention to the energy efficiency of the project, using a number of modern “green” technologies and components, including a geothermal plant, heat pumps, low-e glass units and high-quality exterior layering, in addition, the architectural plan provides for the application of the concept of “solar design”. Thanks to this, the energy consumption of the building is reduced to the minimum parameters, which are completely covered by an array of 50 square meters of solar panels installed on the roof.
