The new office of WWF in Moscow will be built according to the standards of “ecodom”

Anton Kulbachevsky, head of the Moscow Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection, said in a conversation with a representative of RIA Novosti that investors want to build a new Moscow office of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) according to all laws of environmentally friendly architecture. In addition, the foundation will participate in the construction of social buildings in Moscow – schools, kindergartens, hospitals.

Kulbachevsky said that the foundation wants to build a full-fledged eco-home in Moscow, which will house the central Russian office. Only environmentally friendly materials will be used. Doors for builders, windows and finishes will choose the best quality, and certainly from such raw materials, in the production of which the environment was harmed minimally.

Ecohome for WWF will be built in the 1st Kozhevnicheskoye Lane. The site for this purpose has already been allocated by the Moscow government. It is noteworthy that the building will be heated by ground temperature or heat pumps. These projects will be the first in a pilot series of construction projects by the Moscow government.

According to the official, such projects in the capital will help improve the health of citizens, reduce budget costs for the operation of buildings, and reduce utility costs. So far, the “green” construction rules are advisory in nature, but later they can be approved by law.
