Skateboards from old fishing nets





The company has developed a recycling program called "Net Positiva" ("Net Positive"), which provides for the recycling of old fishing nets collected from the coast of Chile. For the manufacture of each Board skateboard, which was named Minnow ("Gudgeon"), it takes 30 square metres of the networks, thus reducing the "carbon footprint" of a product by as much as 70 percent.





The design of the skateboard resembles a fish with a tail and a pattern of scales. Skateboard wheels are made of a material 30 per cent consisting of vegetable oils and is fully recyclable.





At the moment the company Bureo has everything you need to start producing boards for skateboard. Moreover, the campaign on Kickstarter in support of project X, the team has raised twice the funds than originally anticipated.
