The most expensive donut in the world Krispy Kreme for $1,682

The extremely expensive treat you see in the photo was created by Krispy Kreme and was unveiled in the UK. This masterpiece of cooking was born in honor of National Donut Week - a charity event to raise funds to help children in need.

Created from the highest level components, with edible diamonds and a flower of Belgian chocolate covered in gold dust, the most expensive donut in the world looks very graceful. No one yet knows what it tastes like, due to the very high price tag of $1,682. Other appetizing ingredients include the Chateau d'Yquem liquor, 2002 Champagne Dom Perignon jelly, and an edible 24-carat gold leaf - all of which combine in this masterpiece of culinary art. In addition, the doughnut was placed on top of the wonderful Krispy Kreme Cocktail, which contains Cognac Courvoisier de L'Esprit (age in the 5th century), as well as a delightful champagne supplemented with maracua and raspberry syrup.

Children’s Trust raised $16,800, including money from the lucky owner of the world’s most expensive doughnut, Claudine Taylor.
