Building Yourtopia in the Rotterdam Museumpark Park
Green house inside the hill
Dutch design Studio Search has created a stunning building for the International architecture Biennale in Rotterdam, which is a real Utopia of the 21st century: a house covered with greenery on the outside and filled with live plants inside. Building Yourtopia at first glance looks like a normal grassy hill on the street, and suddenly you can go through the door. Inside the man-made hill is a spacious room, which blooms a lush internal garden.

The Yourtopia house from the Studio Search is the perfect exemplary of how a living space can be perfectly integrated with the natural environment. A grassy hill covered with a peculiar roof in the form of a saucer, which allows you to adjust the penetration of natural light into the room, but at the same time prevents the house got rain streams. The dome is made of precast concrete and steel panels that can be easily assembled and which provide excellent sound and thermal insulation.

Such a minimalist building was designed to demonstrate how you can combine economic efficiency, unique architectural design and environmental structure. In the center of the house is a miniature garden of lush tropical plants which reach a height of up to glazed roof.
