The company Liberty Electric Cars, which previously engaged in the conversion of SUVs Range Rover on electric traction, introduced the concept of an electric van Deliver.

The vehicle was partly funded by the European Commission’s 7th Framework Program, which involved 10 companies including Fiat, Volkswagen and Michelin. The futuristic prototype is expected to herald a new era of new eco-friendly delivery vans that will transport lower-carbon goods into the atmosphere.

A full-featured prototype of the Deliver van looks very futuristic, it looks more like a concept car than virtually any car that can be found on the streets today. It’s hard to imagine a normal pizza delivery machine like this. A large curved windshield and unusual side racks make a van of thousands of cars stand out on the road.

Deliver weighs just 2,200 kilograms and can carry 700 kilograms of payload. According to Liberty Electric Cars, the van has an 18 percent larger trunk than other cars of similar size.

Deliver drives thanks to electric motors built into the wheels and connected to Li-NMC batteries, consisting of 80 prismatic lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt cells. The electric furgon has a maximum speed of 100 km / h and can travel on a single battery charge of 100 kilometers. If Liberty Electric Cars really wants to compete in the electric delivery van segment, it will need to boost the power of its battery, as its main competitor, the Nissan e-NV200, drives 1 battery charge of 160 kilometers and its battery can be charged 80 percent in 30 minutes.
