The new Russian drone will be able to take off and land on land, on water and even in a swamp.

“United instrument-making Corporation”, part of “Rostec”, presented the first Russian drone “Chirok” in the framework of the international exhibition of technologies “Innoprom” in Yekaterinburg.

The Cheroke is capable of taking off and landing where other similar aircraft cannot. The secret lies in a special takeoff and landing system that uses the air cushion effect.

The maximum weight of the device is 700 kg, the carrying capacity is up to 300 kg, the device is able to carry various opto-electronic equipment and rise to a height of 6 thousand meters.

In peacetime, the UAV can be used for various needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations: in case of fires in forests and reconnaissance of the situation in disaster zones, as well as for monitoring traffic in cities or for patrolling any territories.
