British researchers have found out how hunger affects men’s ideas about the beauty of the female body. In an unusual experiment, volunteers were asked to choose a companion for the evening. Those who were hungry at the time of the study were more likely to prefer women in the body.
The study involved 266 men who were asked to rate women’s sexual attractiveness from photos. The vast majority of hungry men gave the highest rating to full women. According to scientists, the choice occurred at the subconscious level, which identified a dense physique as an indicator of the availability of food and the physical health of its owner. Experts believe that the key to the dependence of hunger and beauty lies in the relationship between a person’s libido and the areas of the brain responsible for hunger.
