New 3D printer can print ice cream of any shape and size

MIT students have developed a 3D printer that can produce ice cream. The new device consists of a machine for making soft ice cream Cuisinart and a 3D printer Solidoodle located right in the freezer. In addition, just published ice cream is cooled with liquid nitrogen.

“We wanted to make a printer like this to get the kids’ attention. It was important for us both to develop a new technology and to interest the younger generation in science, so that society could continue to expand the boundaries of the possible, said one of the project participants.

“RIA Novosti” emphasize that earlier on such printers have tried to print candy and even hamburgers.
