Spain found a new kind of delfated





In the South of Spain, in Jaen was discovered a new species of delvocid.

Identified insect has received the name Conosimus baenai, in honor of Manuel Baena, a Spanish biologist who made significant contributions to the study of the living world of the Iberian Peninsula. Conosimus baenai a different appearance from other species of the genus Conosimus, the color of its fore wings and veins.

Conosimus baenai has a light yellow or greenish-yellow wings with the radial and median veins, which are framed by dark brown or black stripes. The new species has been found in srednevyborgskoe areas dominated by thorny bushes – Echinospartum boissieri. This rare shrub, which is endemic in the South of Spain, flowering and fruiting from July to August.
