The cat saved the boy from bullies and became a nominee for the award “Cat of the year of Britain”

Celebrate the cat lovers! Finally, the man stood up not a dog, but a brave cat named Smudge, living in the city of Doncaster, UK. The cat heroically saved his 5-year-old owner from hooligans, for which he will be nominated for the Cat of the Year of Britain award.

The owner of the cat, 5-year-old Ethan Fenton, was playing football in the yard of his house with his younger brother, when three older guys approached them and began to bully Ethan. After the boy ignored them, one of the hooligans pushed him, thereby knocking him to the ground.

A cat named Smudge witnessed this incident and at the moment when his owner was defeated, the brave cat committed a heroic act, pouncing on the highest bully.

The bully and his friends were so surprised by the brave animal's actions that they fled in tears, leaving Ethan and his two-year-old brother Ashton alone.

Sharon, a 26-year-old mother, said: I watched the boys from the window while they were playing in the yard. And then three guys, older and taller than Ethan, came into our garden and called him out several times. Ethan ignored them and continued to play with his younger brother. Then one of the boys came up to him and pushed him. At that moment I ran out into the yard and saw our cat Smudge fly out from under the car and pounce on the tallest bully. The boy clearly did not expect it, he cried and ran away.

Before the heroic act, the family did not notice anything like Smudge.

Currently, for his brave actions, the cat is nominated for the title of “Cat of the Year of Britain”, which will be held next month in London.
