In Thailand, the chicken caught a record arapaima weighing 220 kg
Fifty-five years old driver Tony Matthews from Doncaster twenty years engaged in fishing of arapaima. This time a four-day vacation in Thailand, the Palm Lagoon, was a success for the avid fisherman.
So, the man managed to catch seven of arapaima weighing from thirty to 220 kg Arapaima attacked half the carcass of a chicken on a hook 2/0. Matthews used a braided cord with a breaking load of 30 kg as the main line. In order to get the fish, the lucky guy took 1.5 hours.
While the current record for catching this fish is 162 pounds. Unfortunately, arapaima, caught Matthews, was estimated "by eye", so its weight cannot officially claim the world record. Palm Lagoon is a unique place: it's set 70 world records for catching giant fish.
