LEED-certified Institute in Adelaide

Architectural firm Woods Bagot constructed the building for the research Institute for medicine and health of South Australia in Adelaide. In its nine research modules will work 675 scientists pursuing innovative projects in the field of health. Object design is carried out using the latest architectural technologies and one of the most notable elements is a striking translucent façade. In addition to its aesthetic function, it serves as a reliable filter for the aggressive sunlight, preventing overheating of the interior, and providing sufficient natural lighting. Because of this, as well as other passive energy saving technologies, the project received "green" the LEED Gold certification.
