Abyss of three bridges — a multi-level cave in Lebanon

The extraordinary beauty of the waterfall Baatar made his way in the middle of the mountain limestone, and thus built a three-level cave passages in the form of bridges, from here came the name "three bridges Chasm" (Three Bridge Chasm). Created by nature bridges, one above the other, a figure is encircled by an endless stream of water, and it is simply impossible to look away from this enchanting beauty.

Is this natural wonder near the town of Tannerin (Tannourine) and the little village of Balaa (Balaa) in Lebanon, and according to scientists it is a very ancient and natural structure. Waterfall Baatar ball formed at least 160 million years ago, and to this day its water flows do not stop to work on the development and improvement of your landscape. But mankind about the "three bridges Chasm" found only in 1952, thanks to the French speleologist Coupe Henry (Henri Coiffait). It happened the opening of the 20th century so late because the cave was hidden by an impenetrable thicket of trees surrounded by grassland.

The most powerful flows of water are formed at the time the snow melts and then waterfall is gaining extraordinary strength and power. Fascinating spectacle of the falling stream of pure water from a height of 225 meters and beautiful landscape began to attract many tourists. An endless stream of people has compromised the quality of the natural bridges connecting caves. Because they simply can't stand the constant shake-up by thousands of feet of tourists who want to pass on these ancient bridges, because they in actual fact are not so strong as it might seem at first glance. To reduce the flow of people, the decision was made to fence the area and make the entrance fee, but this decision was never implemented. Instead, it was found more than the right decision that will suit all tourists. The entrance of cars and their Parking was to be away from the mountain, a pass and descent built the invisible well blended into the landscape of the steps. Walk the bridges is possible only in a lightweight way, without backpacks and heavy bags. To get to the bottom can only speleologists, equipped with professional equipment and facilities.

In the 80-ies was conducted an interesting experiment that gave the answer to the question, where does the water flow passing somewhere deep bottom caves. After dyeing the water, scientists have found that the water flow keeps the path to the village with the long name — Magharet al-Gawahir (Mgharet al-Ghaouaghir), and is one of the main sources of fresh water in the area.

Here is a miracle of nature, built a waterfall, with its powerful "arms" consisting of the falling water jets, which still pleases with its beauty all Libyans and guests of this beautiful place of this wonderful country.
