Tesla has twice extended the warranty period for Tesla Model S

Elon Musk decided to show that he is confident in the high quality of electric cars Tesla, and increased the warranty service twice. Also removed and the mileage limit, now warranty service is provided to electric cars with any mileage.

So far, this applies only to the Tesla Model S, which is considered the most purchased.

Previously, the warranty for this car was provided for 4 years with a mileage of up to 50,000 miles. With an additional $4,000, the warranty could be extended to 8 years and 100,000 miles.

“We believe that electric motors are more reliable than internal combustion engines, and they have fewer driving parts, which means that Tesla’s warranty policy should fully reflect this,” Musk said.

The head of the company told his investors that such an innovation will negatively affect revenues, but only for the first time, and in the future it will increase the popularity of Tesla cars.
