Scientists have discovered what happens to the brain during prayer
Examining the reaction of brain activity during prayer, while analyzing electrical impulses, a scientist from Denmark concluded that those who pray at the request of the Lord perceive him as a real person, but when a person turns to him with a memorized prayer, the picture looks somewhat different.
The journal New Scientist published the scientific results of a study conducted by neuropsychologist Uffe Schiodt from Aarhus University. In this experience, a group of believers was involved, who first turned to God with a prayer, and then they were asked to make requests to imaginary beings. The result showed that the appeal to mythical images in opposition to God devices registered as fictitious. When they prayed to the Lord, they spoke to the Lord. The subjects even tried to imagine the response of the interlocutor to their words, and the devices indicated impulses, as when talking with a living person. The effect of the memorized prayer was the same as that of the learned poem: the same areas of the brain were involved.
