Eco-friendly house-aquarium with trees

American designer Travis Price, who is an employee of the agency Hayes Residence, presented an unusual “green” project, which clearly demonstrates that in the XXI century in order to build a house, it is not necessary to uproot trees, if any on the territory of a potential construction site.

The designer’s concepts, which are, of course, the author’s work, and not serial work, suggest using these “interfering” plants for the design of the interior and external spaces.

To achieve this result is very simple, the designer believes, it is enough to develop a plan of the house so that it fits the plants.

At the same time, plants in the middle of the house should be placed in two holes – one in the ceiling and the other in the floor of the house. This space is shielded with glass, which allows you to create an aquarium effect. The tree continues to grow in the middle of the house.

At first glance, it may seem that such “demonstrative humanism” is not practical and stupid, but this is not at all true. This approach opens up new boundaries in design. Inside the house, tree trunks can be placed in "aquariums", on its veranda, they can become improvised columns. All this looks quite unusual and pleasant. Do not forget that “passing” trees through the living space, a luxurious green mane of the plant will spread over the roof of the house. Such non-standard landscaping will surely seem attractive to most visitors at home.

Travis Price, who presented several projects at once, noted that his creations are not a model, he only wanted to create a general concept of design. In fact, any architect can do this. Several such houses have already appeared in the United States.
