Robots for six years lived, as people in three houses

The researchers put robots on six years, three average house. The robots were turning on and off lights and televisions, used washing machines and read news on the Internet. The purpose of the study — a thorough analysis of the impact of energy efficient construction and technology.

Robots settled in the house in 2009. Their behavior differed depending on the house: the first house was the most energy efficient, but the third was repeating all the habits of an average family, who does not think about how to save money on electricity. The second house was something of a cross between the two researchers equipped it easily accessible for the average person the means to improve energy efficiency.

Washing machine included in the schedule. In the morning, shower included. The TV showed news. In the evenings, the houses were all lit, and at night it was switched off. This home is equipped with relevant applications and devices that did not require the help of a man.

The most energy-efficient home used 55 percent less energy than the third. The second house saved 37 percent of electricity.

Without the participation of the people in the homes, the scientists are faced with some problems. For example, humidity levels in houses did not coincide with those in which people live. So scientists had to establish a "Human Body Emulation Systems" — simulation of the human body that produce moisture and heat. "Sweating" and "breathing" that's the car.published

P. S. And remember, only by changing their consumption — together we change the world! ©
