How to politely respond to rude questions
Educated person grates on the ear when someone puts the wrong emphasis-educated – when "ignorant" is roughly correct. Even in a world that values honesty and straightforwardness, should be a place for tact.
Every day we hear and often ask, dozens of absolutely tactless questions: have strangers ask about the significance of their tattoos, are interested in the history of scars, including wages and success on the personal front. Even the most emotionally stable person tactless companion, inadvertently or deliberately, can lead to depression. Fortunately, there are several techniques that can help fend off such attacks in your direction:
Joke. The barbs people are more likely to exercise than honing manners. Certainly, for every minor question you have a few one-liners. Do not need extra time to nurture a cynic, but sometimes the jokes are not enough.
Radical change of subject. At least pretend that you didn't hear, but bring the conversation into their own hands.
Another question. Not polite, but sometimes it's appropriate to answer a question with a question. "Why do you want to know?" – the classic answer.
The expression of the relationship to the interlocutor. Also implies a certain causticity, requires wit, and could not be considered a polite response. Go to person – is always forbidden.
Evaluation heard. Note that you asked a very original question. Your mother and grandmother also very concerned about when you have a baby.
Ignoring. You can change the subject to the weather, to bend the head or just smile.
A direct question deserves an honest answer, let it even the refusal to answer.
Sometimes inappropriate questions are asked in order to humiliate man, to assert themselves at his expense. Let us hope that most indelicate of questions are asked not out of malice, but rather out of ignorance and the desire to fill a pause. In that case educated person could turn a blind eye to someone else's faux pas.published
