Born to fly. Giant stingrays hover over the ocean
Mobules are giant stingrays that are often referred to as “flying” for their ability to jump out of the water and, waving their fins, stay in the air for a while. Mobula mobular is an endangered species of stingray. The body of the animal resembles a rhombus, which forms wing-like pectoral fins and head. The length of the body can reach 5.2 meters. Their size, these stingrays are second only to representatives of the manta genus, which grow to 7 meters. Mantas, like mobulas, belong to “flying” stingrays.
Mobules are most commonly found in the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, southern Portugal and the southwestern coast of Ireland.
In the video, the animals jump out and hit the “belly” against the water to attract the attention of their partner. published
P.S. And remember, just by changing our consumption, we change the world together!
