Chinese student wears disabled classmate to class every day

High schooler Xi Xi Xu (18) met his friend Zheng Shi (19) when he moved to a new school in Xuzhou, in eastern China’s Jiangsu province.

The boys settled in the same dormitory, in the building, which is located near the school, but for Zheng this distance is very difficult to overcome.

The thing is, Zheng suffers from muscular dystrophy. This is a condition in which the skeletal muscles are so weak that it is difficult for a person to carry even their own weight, and they are often unable to move independently. Without help, Zheng would certainly not be able to attend school regularly.

Xi (who is 1.73 meters tall and weighs 75 kg) decided to take it upon himself to carry a classmate to school so that he would not miss classes. And he's been doing it for three years.

Both boys were extremely hardworking and are considered the best students not only in their class, but in the whole school.

At half-time, Xi takes a friend to the school cafeteria, where they have breakfast together. And if you take into account all the movements around the school, between buildings, etc., Xi raises Zheng on his back ten to twelve times a day. Every day.

In addition, Xi helps Zheng cope with household problems such as laundry and cooking.

P.S. And remember, just by changing your consciousness – together we change the world!
