Bloomberg New Energy Finance, analyzing 50 thousand projects and energy transactions, concluded that rates for "clean energy" is declining worldwide. In Germany or the UK wind energy is 30% cheaper than energy from fossil fuels.
Bloomberg undertook this study ranked the price of electricity (RCAE) from different sources. In the price included start-up capital, maintenance costs, interest rates loans and subsidies and the price of coal.
Positive changes were noted in all sectors of renewable energy. In the second half of 2015 there was a decrease in the prices of wind energy up to 83 dollars (compared to 85 in the first half). In the pricing of energy of photovoltaic panels is also decreased from 129 to 122 dollars.
All this is happening against the background of increasing prices for traditional energy sources from fossil sources. In North and South America RCEA coal increased from 66 to 75 dollars per MWh, in the Asia-Pacific region — from 68 to 73 dollars, in Europe — from 82 to 105.
In Germany and the UK, for example, energy prices offshore wind power plants equal 80 and $ 85 per MWh, while coal and gas energy in these countries, the cost rose to $ 100 per MWh.
The exception is the USA: wind power here costs $ 80 / MWh, the energy of the sun is 107 dollars per MWh., a coal and gas energy total $ 65 / MWh.
"Our report shows that wind and solar energy became cheaper throughout 2015, deshevov the technology of its production and reducing costs for financing, — said the head of Bloomberg New Energy Finance for Europe, Middle East and Africa SEB Henbest. — In contrast, coal and gas has risen in price against decrease in rates of utilization".published
