Hardly someone from manufacturers can match the tenacity with which Toyota promotes hydrogen vehicles. One of these "cars of the future" is the concept Lexus LF-FC, the company demonstrated at the Detroit auto show in 2016.

The prototype of the LF-FC is the first of its kind option of a luxury car on fuel cells not only for Lexus but for the class as a whole. In the View of the company it embodies all the technological potential of the future and should be the harbinger of a new style of representatives of the luxury auto world.





Hydrogen "Lexus" has a peculiar profile: being a four-door sedan, the car has a distinct sporty lines, which is especially expressed in the contours of its coupe-shaped roofline. Sleek concept contrast with the enormous grille the size with almost the entire front part of the machine, but it only gives the look of confidence and aggression.

The car is equipped with 21-inch wheels, the rim of which is made of carbon fiber, and the core is made of light alloys based on aluminium. As with most concepts, the detailed specifications of the Lexus LF-FC of the manufacturer is not disclosed. We only know that the machine is equipped with all-wheel drive with three electric motors: two motors built in front wheels and one drives the rear axle.





Innovative drive allows you to accurately allocate torque between the front and rear wheels and providing, thus, excellent dynamic performance and ease of management. Energy for the power plant will supply the fuel elements located at the rear of the full-size sedan, and the fuel in it will come from the two hydrogen tanks, placed in the center of the bottom of the machine. Together with power electronics in the front part of the overall design of the car gets optimum weight distribution and stability.

The interior design concept is visually divided into two parts. The top, including the slim a-pillars, creates a sense of openness and space, however, does not distract from the road. At the bottom is a hologram projector, which marks the position of the control zone. The rear seats of the aniline leather have a huge number of degrees of freedom, which allows passengers to take almost horizontal position.





Car "future" can't do without extensive unmanned functionality, so the Lexus LF-FC supplied with systems of Autonomous management, with many "smart" assistants to enable the driver to get maximum enjoyment from riding. One of the features of the concept is a holographic interface and the ability to issue commands to the multimedia devices with gestures and voice.

On-Board computer with a variety of external sensors constantly scans the environment and able to make decisions on the basis of calculations that can predict changes in traffic.
