Qigong Exercise Maintaining the Moon

The qigong exercise “Maintaining the Moon” is like a continuation of the exercise “Raising the Sky”. But in this case, it involves stretching the muscles and spine from the front and back of the body alternately.

The exercise “Maintaining the Moon” includes multidirectional flows of qi in different parts of the body, launches a fundamentally new flow of spontaneous energy, relieves the load from the vertebral discs. In addition, it strengthens the tendon-muscular structure supporting the spine.

Okay.

1. Stand up straight and relax your whole body. Hands down along the body, fingers relaxed.

2. Smoothly tilt the body forward and lower the relaxed hands down, so that the fingers are slightly below the knees, keeping the legs and arms straight.

It is necessary to round the back, stretching it. To do this, you need to touch your chest, as if you want to twist your head into a roulette. Focus on the tension of the spine from the tailbone to the top of the head while paying attention to the movement of tension, from the bottom up, feeling the movement as a flow - this will be the movement of qi. The exercise is done on exhalation, in the lower phase, breathing is delayed for 2-3 seconds, focusing on tension.

3. Starting a breath, smoothly straightening the torso and raising straight arms along a large arc, forward upwards, guide them to a position up above the head.

Raising your arms up and straightening your torso, slightly rot and stretch your arms, as if you were stretching or pushing into an invisible support, as if supporting it, you can imagine that you are pulling up a medium-sized ball and trying to pull it as high as possible. At this point, perform the maximum traction of the body, as if it stretches as much as possible, especially in the front of it, at this point, fix the breath for 2-3 seconds. At this time, the sensation of tension begins to go from top to bottom and there is a feeling of a flow of qi down the arms.

4. As soon as the flow of qi descends to head level, continue to bend, moving your hands behind your head and lowering through the sides down and as if conducting the flow down with the movement of your hands. At the same time, the stream, like a waterfall, flows to the tips of the hands and feet.

5. After performing all the repetitions, you need to re-engage in the stream and stay in it for a few minutes, as in the exercise “Rise of the sky”.

The exercise is being performedup to 10 to 30 times.

It is believed that This exercise has a rejuvenating effect...
