Secret eaters electricity in Your home!
I turned off the light, "put to sleep" the computer, pulled out of the socket the fridge and look what the electricity consumption shows a counter.
Eighty nine million nine hundred ninety nine thousand six hundred seventy nine
80 watts. It is 700 KWh per year for which you will have to pay up to 3525 rubles!
In every modern apartment in the permanent network includes many devices running in standby mode. Even though they are turned off, these devices consume some energy required to enable with the remote or button.
I usually talk about led light bulbs, which consume 6-10 times less than the traditional and help to save on electricity bills.
Today I want to touch on another aspect of the economy.
At home I found 28 devices, which were included in the network and consumption of electricity. I measured their consumption in the standby mode by using power meter.
Air cleaner Boneco — 0.4 W (10.28 rubles per year)
Satellite receiver Openbox — 5.7 W (167.01 RUB. per year)
Xbox 360 — 0.7 W (20.51 RUB. per year)
The Yamaha 861 receiver — 0.1 W (2.93 RUB. per year)
Plasma TV Panasonic 50ST30 — 0.3 W (8.79 RUB. per year)
DVD player Pioneer 575 — 0.1 W (2.93 RUB. per year)
The computer is in sleep mode 1.3 W (38.09 RUB. per year)
The Viewsonic VA926 — 0.7 W (20.51 RUB. per year)
Laptop — 0.5 W (14.65 rubles per year)
Lifting the bed base Ikea — 2.8 W (82.04 RUB. per year)
The second lifting base Ikea — 2.8 W (82.04 RUB. per year)
Philips Wake-up light — 1.7 W (49.81 RUB. per year)
LCD TV Sony 26" — 0.2 W (5.86 RUB. per year)
Receiver Pioneer — 1.2 W (35.16 RUB. per year)
Radio alarm clock with projector Vitek — 1.7 W (49.81 RUB. per year)
Coffee machine Delonghi ESAM-2600 — 1.3 W (38.09 RUB. per year)
TV LCD Philips 20" — 1.0 W (29.3 rubles per year)
Coffee machine Cremesso Uno — 0.2 W (5.86 RUB. per year)
Music center Sony HX30 — 0.1 W (2.93 RUB. per year)
Washing machine LG 12400NDK — 0.1 W (2.93 RUB. per year)
Air conditioning Samsung — 1.1 W (32.23 RUB. per year)
Air conditioner Hitachi Inverter — 5.6 W (164.08 RUB. per year)
Besides the house there are several continuously operating devices:
Router Zyxel Keenetic — 3.5 W (102.55 RUB. per year)
Switch D-Link DES-1024D — 2.8 W (82.04 RUB. per year)
CCTV system (recorder and 4 cameras) — 16.2 W (474.66 RUB. per year)
Charging station of the Gigaset cordless with a fully charged phone on it — 0.6 W (17.58 RUB. per year)
Base of the cordless telephone Gigaset — 1.2 W (35.16 RUB. per year)
Measuring CO2 levels — 0.4 W (11.72 RUB. per year)
Just the 54,3 W, but the meter has a measuring accuracy of 0.1 W and can be wrong. Gradation measurement the meter 0.02 kWt (20W).
I pay for electricity 3.90 RUB from 7.00 to 23.00 and 1 RUB from 23.00 to 7.00 (two-tariff metering for houses with electric stoves), the maximum rate in Moscow is now 5.03. (single-rate metering for homes without electric stoves).
Thus, 700 KWh that consume these devices cost me 2055 roubles a year.
Surprisingly, the most voracious in standby mode was a small satellite receiver. I use it only a few times a year, so of course I immediately shut off as half of the devices listed in the list. Consumption has decreased by half.
At the same time I measured the consumption of several devices:
CD player Technics — 3.1 W
DVD recorder Toshiba — 6.8 W
Computer in off mode — 0.8 watts
Memory from laptop — 0.2 W
I wonder how they behave TVs Panasonic and Sony, as well as washing machine LG. Once off, they consume quite a lot (Sony LCD 17.2 W, plasma TV Panasonic 50ST30 — 13.9 W, washing machine LG 12400NDK — 3.0 watts), but after a few minutes they relay clicks and the consumption becomes very low (0.2, 0.3 and 0.1 W, respectively).
But the consumption of some devices in the operating mode:
Plasma TV Panasonic 50ST30 — 270 W
The Viewsonic VA926 — 25.4 W
Computer (Pentium G3258/8Gb/128SSD+1500HDD) — 30 watt
Laptop (Core i3/4/500/nvidia) — 66 W
Walk around the house and see what you have plugged in. Identify with a meter, how many "eat" your electric appliances in standby mode. To do this, the normal meter you need to measure the number of revolutions of the disk in 5 minutes divided by the specified number of revolutions to KWh (e.g. 1280 rpm in KWh) and multiply by 12 (the number of five-minute intervals in the hour).
Electronic meters are able to show current consumption (on my to do this, press once on the top button).
Maybe it's time to disable most of them and include them only when necessary, and at the same time to reduce the risk of fire from devices that are constantly plugged in. published
