Sculptures on the tip of a pencil

Getty Dalton, worked as a carpenter, creates a tiny thumbnail of slate pencils in pencil. Forty-five American Getty Dalton (Dalton Ghetti) became famous for his unusual hobby. For 25 years, he carves sculptures out of pencils. I tried to experiment with other materials, such as chalk, but still stopped on a slate stem simple pencil. When creating your fabulous creations Dalton does not use a magnifying glass and working just three basic tools - a blade, sewing needle and knife. Master works in 1-2 hours every night after work. Therefore, the creation of a sculpture takes several months, and the longest by time work - a sculpture with a pencil and a chain made of a pencil - to create two and a half years.

Very often, the sculpture break. And it breaks down after a few months at the very end of creation. We have accumulated a whole Dalton "cemetery sculpture." He cherishes them all, stick to the foam.

Dalton Getty earns his sculptures to life, but dreams of a solo exhibition of works that already have about 100 pieces.
