While working on this series, Nixon held two unshakable conditions. First, the sister in the picture always in the same order: Laurie, Heather, Bebe, Mimi, and - from the youngest to the oldest. Secondly, each time he has chosen to print only one frame. As the years passed, changed fashion, hairstyles, way of life, unchanged remained a strong family bond.
After 36 years of Nixon introduced the world to a photo project of 36 pictures entitled "Sister Brown» («The Brown Sisters»). The project has visited many famous museums around the world, and the Browns made history. He is not closed, new images appear every year.
