On the North Island in New Zealand there is invented by J.. R. R. Tolkien's hobbits fairy village.
Peter Jackson saw the farm Alexander, when a helicopter flew the New Zealand North Island. The director decided that she is perfect for Hobbiton and would be the best place to shoot the trilogy "The Lord of the Rings».
Construction of terrain began in March 1999, and in December of the same year started shooting, which lasted three months. In 2011, there is much rebuilt for film "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" and "The Hobbit: There and Back Again».
