Happy birthday, Freddie
I will not copy from multiple sites his biography, just make a little squeeze, in my opinion, important.
Freddie Mercury was born on September 5, 1946 in Zanzibar, and his name was then Farrukh Bulsara. Freddie he was with the light hand of his friends, and took the pseudonym Mercury himself much later, in 1970, - whether to honor the quirky god Mercury, whether in honor of the ruling planet of the same name by all Devas.

From an early age Freddie was crazy about music. He listened to the records on the old home player, putting them in a pile and scroll continuously. Listening to music, Freddie loved to sing. The music was mostly Indian, though sometimes come and western - he sang all and strongly favored such an occupation schoolwork.
On the musical ability of Freddie noticed headmaster of St. Peter, where Freddie studied. The director wrote a letter to his parents, where he offered for a small fee to give him an opportunity to seriously pursue music. They agreed, and Freddie began to learn to play the piano. Yet he began singing in the school choir and regularly participated in school theater productions.
The aesthetic aspect of school life appealed to him clearly more than an academic, but he easily gained the desired point on the painting and the spring of 1966 he graduated Aylsvortskoy school. With this score, as well as his natural gift it was readily adopted in Ilingovsky College of Art, and in September 1966 began to undergo a course of graphic illustrations.

As soon as their friendship grew stronger, Tim began to invite Freddie to rehearsals of his band "Smile» (Smile - Smile), where he played bass guitar and sang. In addition to Tim's group included guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor. The band's sound has made a lasting impression on Freddie, especially game Brian. Inspired by the "Smile", his first since leaving India launched into a musical experiments.

Although that day came a few very worthy candidates as soon as Freddie sang, it was clear that they take it. Freddie's voice was distinguished by extraordinary beauty and wide range. But it's not just his voice. Needless his behavior, the ability to present themselves makes an indelible impression.
