Chinese architects have proposed the concept of unusual skyscraper in the Sahara

A group of Chinese architects introduced the concept of environmentally friendly skyscrapers, which can be constructed as in the Sahara desert. The concept featured in a special edition 2 Skyscrapers architectural magazine Evolo.

Project Sand Babel («Sandy Babylon") suggests that skyscrapers can be "printed" on the special 3D-printers that are able to sinter sand. Printer operation is supposed to provide energy by solar panels.

Thus constructed building will consist of two parts: rhizoid underground structure that will ensure the stability of the structure on the sand dunes, and mushroom aboveground structures.

Last will improve ventilation inside the skyscraper and ensure the collection of fluid due to its condensation under the "mushroom" of the building. Provide energy complex proposed by solar panels and wind generators.

The architects propose to use skyscrapers such as research centers or tourist facilities. On the concept worked Kew Song (Qiu Song), Pentheus Kang (Kang Pengfei), Bai Ying (Bai Ying), Ren Nuoya (Ren Nuoya) and Guo Shen (Guo Shen).
