Italian Festival Car

A door apart back and forth ...

Johnny: Bertone Villa. Electronic controls and complex door opener. Huge glass doors rise up and to the sides at the same time, releasing a huge, full width saloon entrance to the car. Since the L-shaped door go to the roof, then the open door you can go to the salon is not ducking: above the central tunnel is a narrow strip of the roof. Posters Cadillac - not an accident: Villa built on the chassis of the crossover Cadillac SRX.

peninfarina

Johnny: Pininfarina Birdcage 75th (Birdcage). Sprawled on the pavement coupled with carbon fiber bodywork is built on the basis of units of the supercar Maserati MC12 (hence the trident on the grille). Layout - mid-engine: behind the seats is a 700-horsepower engine V12 6.0, working together with a six-speed sequential gearbox.
Access to the "cockpit" - by lifting the cap that covers a good half of the car: it rises at the same time goes forward, exposing the intimate lounge with double contoured bucket seats. Dashboards as such, no: instead installed transparent screen, which can display all the necessary information. Mirrors also there - they are replaced by encircling the car camcorder.
Why Birdcage? Contact times: in the early 60-ies of the last century, a series of racing cars Maserati Birdcage, received the nickname of the tubular space frame, which surround the entire car, including the driver's cockpit. A figure of 75 in the title coupe recalls that this year marks the Pininfarina 75th anniversary. (Taken at www.autoreview.ru )
