Island holiday in United Arab Emirates
Drop dead
Palm Islands (Palm Islands) in Dubai are the three largest artificial islands in the world. They were designed and created by Nakheel Properties. The islands are named Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira.
The islands were created on behalf of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum to increase the flow of tourists. Each island has the shape of a palm tree, and will be placed on a large number of recreation and entertainment centers. The islands are located on the coast of the United Arab Emirates in the Persian Gulf. They will add about 520 kilometers to the beaches of Dubai.
Construction of the islands began in June 2001. Shortly thereafter began an advertising campaign of the island Palm Jebel Ali. In 2004, it was announced the beginning of construction of the island Palm Deira, which by its size will exceed Paris.
Construction of the islands will be fully completed in 10-15 years.
