Church moves

Parishioners of the Church of Emmaus (Emmaus-Kirche), built 750 years ago and located in the German village Hoyersdorf (Heuersdorf), will now have to find another place for prayer.

Building weighing 660 tons will be completely transported on a special platform in the nearby town of Borna (Borna), which is located 12 km away from the previous location. This decision was taken due to the coal mine, which is located under the church. Estimated date of the final move - October 31st. The cost of transport will be around 3 million euros.
