The annual Carnival in Venice

Carnival Masquerade in Venice - is ten days before the beginning of Lent, which is truly changing the world. You can meet on the street glam dandy in a bright and sophisticated dress worth several thousand euros, or a businessman who goes about his business, wrapped in a cloak and a white mask covering his face. By the way, a white mask and black cloak wide (tabarro) combined c silk cape (bauta) and three-cornered hat (tricorno) of the same color are components of one of the most popular at all times of the Venetian carnival costumes. And the festival participants like to transform into Pierrot and Columbine, demons and angels, knights, Moors, Turks, Amazon and astrologers. Traditional costumes and attributes are sold everywhere: if you want you can quickly buy everything you need to merge with intricately dressed up multicolored crowd. And, of course, you can invent and create their own - unlike, unprecedented - and become the object of attention of eyes, gleaming in the slots masks. Carnival has its roots in the deep past. Back in 1296 the Senate of the Venetian Republic proclaimed a holiday day last day before Lent. Thus, it has become a public holiday.
