Color photos Russia 100 years ago!
The history of these pictures:
A man by the name of Prokudin-Gorsky in 1909-10 came up with such a thing:
photograph objects 3 times 3 filter - red, green and blue. Gets 3 black-and-white photos. The only thing he could do with them at the time, is to embed them in 3 different projector with red, green, and blue, respectively, and to direct the projectors on the same screen. Obtaining a color image. Nicholas II gave him a car so that he could travel to Russia and to make these pictures. Photographed, such as the Emir of Bukhara on one of the pictures, I had to sit in complete immobility until he changed 3 photographic plate. The revolution Prokudin-Gorsky was able to leave, and he managed to take with them 20 boxes of photographic plates (about a thousand images). In 1948, after his death, his son in Paris sold the records of the American Library of Congress. Convert them into ordinary color photos was very difficult because of the fact that most of them were non-trivial spatial divergence between the three color versions. So they lay quietly until recently. And suddenly some library officer occurred to them so it is necessary to scan, download in Adobe Photoshop and combine it outlines three color variants. So they did, and were amazed: the world has long perished, and is known only by poor black and white photographs, suddenly rose in all its colors.
These are the miracles occur in our time!
