The eruption of an underwater volcano near the sea coast of Tonga in the South Pacific. Kelepi Mafi, Tonga's chief geologist, said that due to the eruption there is no obvious danger for the inhabitants of the island for the residents of Nuku'alofa and the other islands of Tongatapu. The authorities reported that the eruption may be associated with an earthquake 4, 4 Ball which took place last week, on March 13.

The eruption occurred 10 kilometers south-west coast of the main island Tongatapu. in this region there are 36 underground volcanoes.
