Few people know that Tibetan monks for a long time been using the sand to create the so-called sand carpet - in fact, what you get in the end, it is difficult to distinguish from this carpet.
Iranian fans of this art, famous for its Persian rugs, decided to set a world record by creating the world's largest sand carpet.
They got it - the size of "carpet" reached 12 thousand square meters. The work involved 25 people and 70 were used in all types of sand of different colors - from white quartz to bright red.
The previous record belongs to the artists of the Canary Islands, created a carpet area of which reached only 900 square meters.
