Of course a visit to this beautiful place has been abandoned all the highlight of this trip. More beautiful abondonenta I have not seen.

To begin with a brief historical background:
In 1902, in Old Gagra by architect IK Lyutseranskogo it was built the Palace of the Prince of Oldenburg. This is a wonderful building in the Art Nouveau style with beautiful, covered with red roof tiles; chimneys, balconies, and fits perfectly into the overall ensemble of palaces, towers Falconer (Prince was a big fan of falconry).

With the construction of his palace Prince of Oldenburg began to implement a plan for the creation of Gagra climatic resort - "Russian Nice».

In Soviet times, all these buildings were nationalized. In the palace of the prince was arranged luxury holiday home to them. Stalin called "The Seagull».
