Steampunk

Steampunk steampunk or (Eng. Steampunk, from steam - «pairs" and punk - «protest", "conflict") - the direction of science fiction is derived from cyberpunk simulating alternative embodiment of human development, in which were perfectly mastered the technology of steam engines and mechanics . As a rule, steampunk involves an era stylized Victorian England (second half of the XIX century) and the early capitalism with a distinctive urban landscape and the contrasting social stratification. By "punk" component of steampunk is a special emphasis on "low human nature", driven by lower passions - lust, anger, vanity, greed and envy. Particular attention authors writing in the genre of steampunk, paying household and physiological details of the life of the protagonists.
