This 103-year-old mansion in Rhode Island was built on a small, rocky island far away from the curious neighbors. Kingston House was built in 1905, about 36 000 $. Lovering Wharton and his ex-wife bought this house in 1961 for $ 3600 and managed to revive him after he was left for two decades.
