Foursome at Abbey Road

Yesterday, at 13:35 Moscow time, was exactly 40 years from the date when the picture was taken. On the morning of August 8, 1969 Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, and Ringo came out of the studio building on Abbey Road 3. The policeman blocked the traffic on the street when the photographer Iain Macmillan stood on a stepladder in the pedestrian "zebra". The guys there were only ten minutes - so agreed with the police. McMillan had to make six shots. The fifth shot, which later became the album cover, made at 10:35 London time.
