MINI celebrates anniversary: 50 years ago, 26 August 1959, Alec Issigonis Mini car was first presented to the public, and is popular to this day.
The newest MINI Coupe Concept satisfies the principle of the brand - "driving pleasure." Under the hood of this two-seater model installed the most powerful engine of the entire line of MINI: the engine capacity of 1, 6 liter turbocharged twin-scroll, borrowed from the hot MINI John Cooper Works. This powerplant enables MINI Coupe Concept to achieve exceptional power of 211 hp / 155 kW. Maximum torque - 260 Nm, but at the expense of short-term function of increasing boost pressure - overboost - it can be quickly increased to 280 Nm.

The body design of MINI Coupe Concept is partially borrowed from the MINI Cooper S. The soft contours of the bonnet, large headlights, the original form of the grille and a wide air intake create a unique image and charm typical of the legendary British brand. MINI Coupe Concept is the image of the classic Mini with a modern twist. Direction indicators are integrated directly above the innovative three-dimensional dimensional rings and fog lights. Front spoiler emphasizes the car's sporty appearance, visually expanding body
The MINI Coupe Concept has another distinctive feature providing extra space in the cabin and has practical value: a compartment between the passenger area and the luggage compartment has a closable opening. Thus obtained through the ability to load luggage is quite unusual for the coupe; it provides the driver and passenger direct access to the things placed in the luggage compartment, even while driving. As a result, the bag in which there are, for example, drinks, music CDs or roadmaps securely stowed in the trunk and at the same time is always at hand
The concept of this model is based on the idea of reducing vehicle weight. For example, this two-seater comes with an aluminum roof that not only has a positive effect on reducing the weight of the concept, but also contributes to lowering the center of gravity to significantly reduce banks and better handling.
Since lower weight also means greater efficiency, MINI Coupe Concept offers the possibility of combining driving pleasure with fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions to a minimum, which is an important trend of the times.
