Pictures of marijuana from Cliff Maynard

Throughout history, particularly in the last century, we find examples of how creative people have used drugs for inspiration in creating his works. But never before has there been such that the artist created his paintings directly from the drug. Maynard Cliff (Cliff Maynard) was the first, and we must admit, it turned out pretty good.

Cliff Maynard, 37-year-old artist from Pittsburgh (PA) creates a picture of a half-smoked marijuana cigarettes. With a knife, he cuts the cigarette butts on the required elements and then puts them in the picture, like the pieces of a mosaic. From one cigarette turns three "part of the puzzle," as the author calls them, but how many of these elements, he unites in one image - Maynard count is not taken. Cliff is quite painstaking work: the creation of a painting size 20x25 cm takes at least 70 hours.

"I learned the art of mosaic in the school - says the author. - And then I drew parallels between the pieces of tile or tiles and cigarette butts. " Let's face it, the parallels rather strange. Unlike the paintings by the artist - not knowing what they are made to guess about their origins is not easy. Gallery of works Cliff Maynard includes portraits of famous people, the restoration of paintings by old masters, and even scenes on biblical themes. Interestingly, the first picture of Cliff was just a portrait of Christ.

It should be noted that the pictures of Cliff should not be taken as the promotion of drugs. The author just came up with the novel idea, and he realized it. In the end, everyone is doing what can and what can be.

Making paintings is certainly not the main occupation of Cliff, although his profession is also quite original - he is a master tattoo. But the original hobby brings a good income: the price of a painting starts at $ 2000 and can reach $ 10 000.
